InstantRent.com respects the privacy of its users. This Agreement explains how we use the information that you provide to us via the InstantRent.com Web site. This Agreement may be modified at any time. Should this occur, the new Agreement will be posted on our web site and you will have the opportunity to accept or reject the terms of the new Agreement. If you reject the terms, your sole remedy is to cancel your membership to this site, if any. We will delete any information that we have collected from you.
This Web site is owned and operated by InstantRent.com. You may have reached this site by clicking on a link from a web site that is not owned by us. If that is the case, the owners of that web site may have their own Privacy Policies that govern how they handle information that you provide to them while you are at their site. InstantRent.com has no authority over these other web sites and we disclaim all responsibility for how they handle your personal information.
Browsing our site:
If you are simply visiting our site we do not collect any personal information from you. If you use one of our search forms, we will become aware of the Zip Code that you enter, and other geo-specific information, but we have no way of relating that information to your personally.
Our site may set and retrieve cookies but, again, no personal information is transmitted or collected during that process. While we may become aware of the ISP that you are using, because of the IP address transmitted automatically by your browser, that information does not personally identify you either.
Use of Registration Services and Other Web Forms:
If you decide to purchase or use the services offered on our web site, including registration, you will be asked to provide certain personal information. That information is clearly asked for on the forms that you are completing and you can choose to deny us that information simply by not completing and submitting the form. We reserve the right to reject all membership or service requests if you do not provide the minimum required information necessary for us to perform the service that you are requesting.
In no event are you permitted to subscribe or use any of our paid services if you are under the age of 18 (United States), or the age of legal majority in your particular country.
Our web site also contains a Terms of Service Agreement (TOS) which you are automatically agreeing to if you sign up for any of our services whether those services are paid or not. Be sure to read the entire TOS before requesting services from us.
Paid Services:
If you are of legal age, and you decide to purchase any of our paid services, we will collect your credit card information in order for us to receive payment for the services that you are requesting. We process the collection of that information via secure and encrypted technology and in accordance with the best practices dictated by our bank and the various credit card processing services that we use. In order to facilitate payment, your personal credit card information will be shared, in a secure and encrypted fashion, with our credit card processor and any other authorized financial processing network that is, or may become, a part of our payment processing system.
Also, if it is determined that the credit card that you used was presented under fraudulent circumstances, we will share all available personal information with law enforcement agencies in addition to our normal payment processing partners. We prosecute all credit card fraud fully.
Cookies:
Cookies are industry-standard small text files that are placed on your computer's hard drive by our web server. We use these cookies so that our server can identify your browser session from among the hundreds of other browser sessions that may be occurring all at once. Without cookies, our server would not be able to send messages and information to you because it wouldn't know "where" you were on our site.
Our cookies can only be read by our servers. They do not have any way to extract personal information from your computer. They simply perform the tracking and data management tasks that we described.
How We Use Your Personal Information:
Other than the usage already described, we usually store certain personal registration information on our servers in order to allow you to log into your account in the future.
We will only share your personal information with a third party if that third party is participating in a service offering on our site and you decide to take advantage of that offer. Even then, we will only share the personal information that is necessary for the partner to complete their service commitment to you.
Direct Solicitation:

You may withdraw that consent at any time, using forms that we provide for that specific purpose, and we will immediately stop sharing that information. Because many advertising and marketing campaigns are planned well in advance, you may continue to receive offers for a short while after you withdraw your consent.
Statistical Information Gathering:
From time to time we conduct certain statistical analyses in order to determine how our site is being used by our visitors and members and to ensure that we are fulfilling our service level commitments. This may include tracking how many times ads or banners are clicked on, and which forms, services and other information is being accessed by our users. We may release this information to third parties, but only in aggregate form, which means that none of your personal information is transmitted or received by these third parties.
If we offer an affiliate program, or a "Tell a Friend" program, and you decide to become a part of that program, then we may be required to collect additional personal and financial information including your Social Security Number if you are a U.S. taxpayer. The U.S. Government requires us to collect this information in order to release commission payments to you. You can refuse to provide this information but, if you do refuse, we will be unable to release any commission payments that you may have earned.
Security of your personal information is our primary concern. All personal information is stored in a secure and encrypted manner in our data center and is only accessible by authorized personnel. All sensitive data, when transmitted, is protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption, which is the authorized industry standard for handling sensitive information in a secure manner.
Our services, whether free or paid, are not offered to anyone who is under the age of 18 (United States) or their legal age of majority in their country of domicile. We do not solicit or accept personal or non-personal information from minors for any reason. If we discover that a minor has provided us with personal information, that information will be immediately deleted from our systems.
If we change this Agreement in any substantial way, other than to correct minor spelling or non-essential wording, we may contact you at the e-mail address that you have provided us and advise you to visit this page to review the new Agreement, but we have no obligation to do so. The most current Agreement will always be dated and posted here. If you continue to use our site after a change to the Agreement then you are indicating your acceptance of the changes in our Terms and Conditions or Privacy Agreement. If you do not agree then your sole remedy is to deactivate your membership and stop using our services.
This constitutes the entire InstantRent.com Privacy Policy Agreement. No changes may be made, except in writing, which will be posted and administered as outlined in this Agreement.
